The Center for Neurosciences at Medical Center of McKinney offers comprehensive diagnostic and treatment resources to those suffering from conditions that affect the brain, spine and nervous system, such as stroke, brain tumors, Alzheimer’s disease, epilepsy, Parkinson’s disease, and others.

A dedicated team of medical experts including neurologists, nurses, psychologists, speech therapists, physical therapists, occupational therapists, social workers, and others address the various aspects of a patient’s complex medical condition. The Center for Neurosciences offers the latest diagnostic technologies including electroencephalogram (EEG), electromyography (EMG) and nerve conduction studies, EMG evoked potentials and magnetic resonance imaging (MRI).

In addition, Medical Center of McKinney has received Joint Commission national certification as a Comprehensive Stroke Center. Our Emergency Department physicians and clinicians are specialists in the diagnosis and treatment of stroke. Neuroradiologists, neurologists, neurosurgeons, neurophysiatrists, nurses, and a stroke program coordinator use the latest technologies and medications to combat the immediate and secondary impact of stroke.  Providing vital supportive services are physical and occupational therapists, speech therapists and dietitians who work with post-stroke patients to help them return to their highest level of well-being.
